I just purchased this fragrance at Saks. I remember the raves from Laureanne and Felicia(fcappy) and knew I had to seek it out. It is lovely and perfect for the upcoming spring. I am having a hard time locating any information on the notes. According to our charming SA at Saks it was recreated by Karl for a Chanel party. He wanted to scent the air with camellias. The SA stated that there is no camellia scent so they created this fragrance to give the illusion of it. I can detect a lovely jasmine note with bergamot.

What I have for it is that it's a fresh green floral...not much help. I do love those Chanel bottle shapes.
You're right, Miss A--I love this stuff. I have even grown to like it better than Gardenia, because there is less jasmine/tuberose in it. Very feminine and dewy.
Hi Annie!!!
First - I love your blog. I love fashion and have been lemming more than a few MAC lipsticks, glasses and lustres than I have a right to own! I have NO room for them, but I can't help myself. LOL!!!!
Anyway - I wanted to share what I found on the Chanel web site about Une Fleur: "The camellia, Coco Chanel's signature flower, has always symbolized femininity, elegance and style. Now the blossom has inspired UNE FLEUR DE CHANEL, a fresh floral scent, highlighted with delicate jasmine and green notes." Not all the notes, but there ya have it.
I can't wait to try it!!! Sounds lovely.
I recently bought No. 5 again for the first time in years. I prefer Chanel Allure, but thought I would get a classic to switch off to occassionally. Has anyone else noticed that No. 5 has changed dramatically. it's too strong now, and seems to intensify over the day. I have literally had people in my office ask if I just sprayed something and I had applied 2 squirts at home 5 hours ago. Yikes. It could be because I bought it at Ulta and not a dept. store, but I still think it's changed formulas over time. :v(
Bonjour Annie,
Your blog is fantastic! How sad am I that I won't be seeing you in a few weeks...
I haven't tried Une Fleur de Chanel yet, but it'll soon be available in Quebec. After reading your comment and laureanne's, I can't wait!
Hi Joyce and Sophie:
It is great to see both of you here!
I think you both will love Une Fleur de Chanel. It is fresh and lovely. I love how laureanne said it was dewy. That is a perfect way to describe it.
A great fragrance for spring.
Interesting! I have been recently obsessed with the idea of using oil from camellia (the flower of the tea bush) for skin care and cooking. The tea seed is known as the olive of the east, and its oil is supposedly even healthier than olive oil, although it's hard to find in the US. In China, it is widely used for cooking, and in Japan, camellia oil has long been a hair conditioner and moisturizing skin oil. The scent is apparently beautiful but ephemeral, so all perfumed versions must use a synthetic. There is a camellia-scented body oil available from http://www.victani.com/products.asp, which uses the synthetic scent, and a number of different kinds of unscented camellia oil. As always, the Chinese version is cheaper than the Japanese ones. The Japanese, they believe in the joy of overpricing.
I've yet to smell it but my heart always flitters with Chanel fragrances!
While searching for new trane air conditioner info for my house I stumbled onto your blog. I totally agree!
